Blind Spots and Growth Traps
How inferior Te trips you up: your ideals stall in your head. Your most common form of self-sabotage is having a beautiful vision but never getting around to breaking it into executable steps. Because Te is weak, you dislike "decomposing, scheduling, tracking progress" — they feel cold, dull, even like they'd *taint* the purity of the original idea. The result: that book you meant to write is three chapters in, that side project is forever "in planning." You're not lazy — you're missing a framework for executing in spite of perfectionism.
Your stress-meltdown mode: the Si-Te grip. When you're under prolonged stress and can't be yourself, you slip into a state that's deeply unlike you: you suddenly become fixated, irritable, nitpicky about details, attacking others or yourself with sour, weaponized "objective data." You'll chew on a single remark over and over, enumerate all the ways you've failed, spiral into a relentless settling-of-accounts: "I can't do anything right." That's inferior Te running amok. The tell: when you start speaking to yourself in a cold, everything-is-worthless tone — that's not the truth, that's you running on empty.
Three loops to watch for:
- The "no one gets me" retreat: you expect others to read you without being told, so you don't say it, so you get hurt, so you withdraw further.
- Moral purism: escalating "this doesn't match my values" all the way to condemning an entire person or situation, and losing all flexibility in the process.
- Escaping into imagination: using Ne to endlessly fantasize about "another life" as a way to avoid the real problem in front of you that needs hands-on solving.
