About Typeology
Last updated: 2026-08-09
Typeology is a personality-preference exploration tool. It publishes a 32-question, four-axis questionnaire, 16 type guides, type comparisons, relationship scenarios, and anonymous on-site statistics. English, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese content are maintained as separate localized editions.
What the site is for
A result is a hypothesis to examine, not a verdict about a person. Typeology uses concrete work, relationship, and stress situations to show how a preference may appear, then gives readers ways to retake the questionnaire and compare the description against their own experience.
Content and data standards
- Transparent scoring: Each question affects one preference axis. The tally, tie rules, and tests are documented on the Methodology page.
- No absolute judgments: A type does not establish ability, intelligence, career ceiling, relationship outcome, or mental-health status.
- No small-sample theater: Percentages and rarity appear only after 30 completed responses in the same language. On-site samples do not represent a country or general population.
- Traceable revisions: Questions, scoring code, and public content are version-controlled. Errors are corrected and dated.
Important limitations
Typeology is not the official MBTI® assessment and is not a clinical, medical, psychological, or employment-screening tool. The site is not affiliated with Myers & Briggs Foundation, The Myers-Briggs Company, or 16Personalities.
